I'm excited to tell you about what has happened for us thus far in this ASHRAE Society year and welcome you to our chapter. We've got great plans for this year so please reference this website and check your ASHRAE emails.Our chapter was able to send nine officers/chairs to the Chapter Regional Conference (CRC) in Scottsdale this past summer. We received excellent training to help run our chapter, were informed on the interworkings of Region X and ASHRAE Society, and were involved with nominations and motions being passed up to Society. At one of the CRC nights at the awards dinner, San Jose ASHRAE received a badge for Presidential Award of Excellence, a Special Citation Ribbon, and a Full Circle Chevron. We also received a Region X 2nd place 2011 Technology Award on behalf of Mukesh Khattar for his design of the Oracle HQ Campus Energy Efficiency & Demand Response project. Joe Chin, our past president, received the PAOE award as well as the Director's Cup Award for his outstanding work in our chapter.
We had an excellent kickoff this year at Trader Vic's Restaurant in Palo Alto. If you'd like to see photos of all the action, go here to view the photos of the event.
