Dear San Jose ASHRAE members and guests,I am pleased to serve you as the President of San Jose ASHRAE during 2012-13. We have an exceptional board of governors in place. Our committees are filled with experience and depth. Our members are active and our local markets are positioned for sustained growth. I look forward a very successful fiscal year.
Our annual Kick- off Social Event will be held Wednesday evening September, 12, 2012 at Bell Tower Bistro & Patisserie in Saratoga. Full details will follow in a formal invitation.
This is an exciting time for ASHRAE. With a new brand launch in January 2012, ASHRAE embraces the interconnection between global technologies and the HVAC industry. While we will always be recognized as HVAC experts, ASHRAE members have authority in sustainability, smart grid, total design for new and existing building and effective facilities operation. Worldwide communication is far different from when our industry was born. ASHRAE answers with an evolution in the way it brands itself to the world. Read more here.
San Jose ASHRAE's theme for the year is "Increased ASHRAE Involvement." There is great potential to amplify member participation in 2012-13. Chapter leadership is considering all impacts on industry participation and wishes to improve ASHRAE's overall value to membership.
